Dubai Civil Aviation Authority
Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) was established as an autonomous body by Law No. (21) of 2007, with its functions and powers reorganized under Law No. (11) of 2020 concerning the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority. DCAA is the entity responsible for regulating civil aviation affairs in the Emirate of Dubai.
The Authority aims to achieve leadership and ensure sustainability in the fields of aviation security, safety, and environmental protection, while fostering a favorable environment that supports aviation-related investment and the sustainable development of the civil aviation sector.
DCAA achieves its objectives by establishing technical and regulatory frameworks for civil aviation activities across the emirate and ensuring compliance through oversight and inspection functions. As the regulatory and supervisory authority, DCAA oversees all aviation security and safety procedures at Dubai’s airports, issues permits for civil aviation-related commercial activities, aircraft landing permits, and no-objection certificates for operations and activities that may impact the safety and security of Dubai’s airspace.
