MOD Challenge
Building on the success of previous editions, the 2026 Ministry of Defence Challenge returns with a renewed focus on innovation and rapid capability development. This year’s challenge invites students, startups, and emerging tech teams to design breakthrough autonomous and AI-powered solutions that address real operational needs defined by the UAE Ministry of Defence.
Participants will compete through a series of technical stages, live demonstrations and real-world scenario testing. The challenge aims to accelerate disruptive technologies, nurture national talent, and strengthen collaboration between the MOD, academia and industry—solidifying UMEX as a global hub for defence innovation.
